Awful

*MJ reverting to being a newborn during this growth spurt and eating every two hours on the dot. Make for a very sleepy mommy.
*Finding out it can take 6-9 months for pregnancy hormones to fully get out of my body. Hence the pizza face.
*Making a mental list of things needing to get done this week and not much was done
* Still learning I can't hold ''it'' for very long like I used to pre baby. You mama's know what I'm talking about. I have mastered the potty dance.

* This should probably be in the 'Awful' category but I laughed so hard it's awesome. MJ peed all over Ryan just before he put her in the tub. It's about time she gave him a taste of parenthood that I have experience all too well :D

Mary's blessing day was today, Ryan did a beautiful job and I'm so happy that Mary was such a good baby. She woke up in the middle of it apparently but didn't make a peep.

MJ's 2 months

Today MJ is 2 months! We had her check up today and she is 10 pounds and 22 inches long, she sure is growing like a weed! she needs to slow down geez. One of her newborn pajamas are too small for her :(

Poor girl got her shots today and oh my gosh did she ever break my heart with those piercing cries of hers, I'm not gonna lie, I cried a little with her.

When she was about 4-5 weeks old my mom and I noticed a mark on her back that felt hard underneath her skin. I showed the doctor when I had my 6 week post check up and he said it looked like some fatty tissue to not worry about it. Well it's grown since than and showed her doctor today. She thinks it's a hemangioma. So we'll find out in a couple of weeks when we see a dermatologist. I look forward to the day when there is nothing wrong with this little girl. I'm grateful she hasn't had any severe problems but it's still hard to see your little one have issues whether it be jaundice and dehydration or this.

Going to Mary's 2 month appointment and trying to console her while she screams after the mean man gives her 3 shots.

Getting cut off by a crazy driver driving going well over the speed limit, I wanted to yell over to him "Don't you see I have a baby in the back seat of my car?! be more careful!"

I am in major need of a manicure, how do moms have time to have cute nails?

I'm not one of the lucky moms who drop all of the baby weight right after having a baby and is nursing. It's going to take some work and time to tighten up this tummy.

Stressing out about seeing Mary's doctor to see what the bump on her back is.

I'm still too scared to try on my pre prego jeans

I don't know if it's the hormones after having a baby or what but my skin has got a mind of it's on and I have major pizza face. What happened?!

MJ's smiles, I love when she wakes up in the morning and stops crying when she see's me. She knows who her mama is! She coo's and smiles all the time now I love it.

Finding out the bump on her back is most likely a hemangioma, but we're getting a 2nd opinion from a dermatologist on Feb 2nd. Could always be worse and I'm glad it's not.

After 3 months I finally colored my hair yesterday, I no longer am homely looking.

Going for a walk outside with MJ in our neighborhood for the first time and getting lost. What started as planning a 20-30 minute walk ended up lasting for an hour. Got some good exercise that day!

Baby swings and binkies are uh-may-zing. What would I do with out them...

My mother in law bought us a TON of diapers! All sorts of different brands so we can see which kind we like best. So far out of the 3 we've used Huggies and Walmarts brand are a win.

If mothers received stars and badges I would like to think I have finally earned one or two. You know you have certainly joined the mom club when you have officially been peed, pooped and up chucked on. I remember thinking it was the grossest thing ever growing up having a nephew or niece spit up on me but when it's my own child I just can't help but laugh. Like last Sunday, I fed MJ and got her all dressed and as soon as I put her over my should *buuuurrrrrrrrrrp along with a shot of spit up all over my shoulder and in my hair. Needless to say we were late to church.
And you gotta love when you are just about to put the babe in to the bath and while checking the water temp she pees all over my leg, even better..I was wearing Ryan's pj pants. Also, I neve knew till now that baby poop can shoot out like a water gun..
I never get bored being a mom, and it's going to be really hard come in a few short weeks when I go back to work. Here's a picture overload of this sweetie pie :)

Oh how I remember being so tired during pregnancy, she's due in June

2011 has been an amazing year, obviously the high light of the year is having MJ in our family, I couldn't ask for a better baby, we love this little girl so much!
New Years resolutions this year:
*Manage time better- I'm finally starting to get a schedule with Mary, I didn't know how much work babies really are!
*Work out and get rid of the pregnancy weight I gained
*Go to the Temple with Ryan more often, even go by myself
*Finish reading The Book of Mormon, we are getting close!
*Cook more often, and eat more healthy meals
*Improve organizing skills or lack there of

And I'm sure there are many more I could think of but those are the biggest on my list

Our 'Christmas trees' since I wasn't able to find my actual one at my

Ryan's sister Erika was in town for a few days and was able to meet Mary, it was fun to have her, Rachel and their dad over to visit. This little girl is very loved!

I went to visit my parents and little miss had a blow out, and guess how awesome mommy is... I totally forgot that morning to pack an extra outfit in her diaper bag in case something like this happened. I'm always prepared with at least a onesie but not that that day! So while her clothes were being washed we wrapped her up in one of the blankets since I didn't pack an extra blanket either.

We went and saw the Temple Square lights with Steve and Kylie over the weekend, it was freezing! but still had fun and enjoyed some hot chocolate and doughnuts after.

Mary is a month old today!! Time is flying by way too quickly. We went to church as a family for the first time and she did great. Pretty much slept the entire time woo hoo!

Love this girl! I never am fast enough to get her little grins.. She sure is lots of fun though!

I have now been a mom for 3 weeks and boy was I ever wrong in my assumptions of what it would be like. I thought that since babies sleep all the time I would actually get bored and have all of this free time to clean, do crafts ect ect. Nope! Since she is up every few hours ready to eat than I sleep while she sleeps if I can. Anyone who knows me knows I looove my sleep so it has been quite the transition to not getting a full nights sleep. I am loving it though, I have never been so tired and so happy in my life. I absolutely love being a mom, it's true you never know that kind of love till you experience it yourself. To all of you mother out there I bow down to you, especially to you single mothers I double bow down to you. I don't know what I would do with out Ryan's help and patience. I'm still getting used to getting another person ready so I'm always late and of course when it's my turn to get ready myself MJ only wants to be held and wont just chill in her bassinet. And can I just say thank heavens for baby plugs, I mean binkies. I don't even know what I would do with out one. They are amazing.
I'm also grateful for a husband who thinks I'm super hot even when I smell like breast milk, have make up on from the previous day smeared across my face, hair matted and ready to make dread locks.

Being a mom is the most amazing thing though, this little life depends on you for everything and even at 3 in the morning when I'm exhausted and just want to sleep but she needs to be fed and changed I look at her sweet face and just melt.

Over the weekend we had Mary's pictures taken by the lovely Missy Allen again. She is amazing!! I highly recommend her if you need any kind of photos done, she is talented and so fun to work with. She takes her time getting the right shots and making sure we are happy with everything. You can tell she really enjoys what she does.

I can't believe how time is just flying by! My little MJ is 2 weeks old and growing like crazy. She is such a good baby and is so much fun. Ryan and I just lay in bed with her in between us and stare at her saying what a beautiful baby she is, how cute that yawn was, her sneeze, grunts ect you get the point. The joys of being newly parents.
She is a fabulous sleeper! I know she got that from her mama for sure.
She is definitely a little girl, she lets us know as soon as her diaper needs to be changed.
We are always laughing at the little noises she makes, her cute smiles which I have yet been able to capture quick enough on my camera. We are absolutely in love with this sweet girl.

*Warning, long post!*

What an awesome birthday right? So this post is more so for me so I don't forget but would love to share Mary's birth story especially since I have a sister who lives back east and wasn't here to be part of the day. (Love ya B!! miss you tons!)

So Friday evening the 19th I wasn't in the greatest of moods, I was 4 days past my due date. I had enjoyed pregnancy but was ready to meet my sweet girl. We made plans to go visit some friends who just moved in to a new apartment. As we were leaving I seriously thought I had just had an 'accident' which made me even more grumpier and even more anxious to be done with pregnancy so I could regain my bladder control. After changing clothes we were on our way, only to have another ''accident'' while walking to their apartment at about 9:30 pm. I stopped in the parking lot thinking are you kidding me? here? now?! is this real or am I seriously peeing my pants..
So we went inside and than I really knew that it wasn't me, my water had finally broken! woo hoo no induction needed! It was officially baby time.

Since I wasn't having any contractions we took our sweet time getting our things together, double checking our list so we wouldn't forget anything. About an hour later we arrived at the hospital, They had me on an IV to soften my cervix since my water broke and was only dilated to a 2. I can't remember the name but they had me put a pill in my cheek to help my body prepare for labor as well. And it certainly worked! I was having major contractions, people were not lieing when they say that labor truely is labor. I had fixed my hair and make up before we left and it was pointless because I was one hot mess. I didn't want an epidural yet since it was barely morning and they said I wouldn't have this baby till noon. But it finally came to the point at almost 5 am I was in pain I never knew before, making noises I didn't recognize coming out of my mouth. Ryan held my hand telling me to breath and saying how much he loved me that I could do this. I wonder how many times he lost feeling in that hand I held so tightly to. I knew I needed sleep and rest before the time came to push so I finally gave in and called my nurse to bring in the man that every pregnant woman loves. I am so grateful I asked when I did because an hour later at 6 am when they were planning on putting me on pitocin they said I was fully dilated and ready to go! Btw ladies, don't be afraid of getting an epidural. I literally did not feel a thing and it works quickly thank heavens! *mental note just get the epidural right away!! I told Ryan he had better hurry and call our parents to let them know she would be coming now and not in the afternoon. They made it just in time before I started pushing.

After getting things set up and ready for the delivery, getting a hold of my doctor since 7 am is when the shift changes occurred, I was finally ready to bring this little one here.
Pushing wasn't what I thought it would be (granted I had an epidural, oh yes so worth it!) It wasn't so much hard/painful but just tiring I remember with all of the breathing, holding my breath. Overall I pushed for maybe 45 minutes to an hour? I don't know how women push for hours. I was exhausted! MJ's heart rate wasn't where they wanted it to be so they had me on some oxygen to help her out.
It's true that there are no words when you hear those sweet first cries. She was absolutely beautiful, so perfect in every way. I was overwhelmed with so many emotions. As soon as they brought her over and lay her on me she stopped crying and just stared at me calm as could be. Best feeling in the world, I love my beautiful little family.

Mary's first Thanksgiving

After being home for two days, getting no sleep, having frustrations of not being able to feed my own baby, and some tears along the way, we went to our first appointment on Wednesday to see how our little MJ was doing. We ended the appointment with being on our way to the emergency room at Primary Children's Hospital to treat her jaundice and being dehydrated. The next 30 hours were the hardest I have ever been through. Nothing breaks your heart more than seeing your sweet innocent baby poked with needles and hearing her cries. Thank heavens for a strong husband who held my hand saying everything would be fine and to not worry.
Watching her lay in 'the cage' as we called it, I felt so helpless and kept blaming myself thinking I should have known there was something wrong, what could I have done to prevent this all? I felt like the worst mother ever, till finally listening to Ryan, the nurses and doctors saying unfortunately this is common and I'm not at fault at all. A phone call from my sister helped ease my feelings who went through much worse with her first child and knew how I was feeling. Lack of sleep for the last 5 days and hormones do not mix well.

Long story short she was put on fluids first to see if her bili level count would go down, if not than she would need to go under the fluorescent lights. Frustration grew as she would not nurse from me, her screams made me want to cry with her. They had a lactation specialist work with us, MJ would either nurse for a second or two than fall asleep or cry and get frustrated because milk wasn't coming fast enough for her. She takes to a bottle just fine so we tried switching between the two, it was exhausting physically and emotionally. We were hoping to leave yesterday morning with a healthy happy baby but found out her sodium levels were high from dehydration so we had to stay. Her bili levels had gone down thankfully now it was just waiting for the sodium levels to go down. Finally after more tests and good news we were discharged about 5:00 pm, in time to rush home shower and visit family to enjoy the remaining of Thanksgiving day. I am so grateful for modern medicine, doctors, a wonderful husband who has been the best daddy and a great support. We are so blessed to have had my mom come help the first couple of days being home, cleaning, doing laundry, bringing us food. Amazing friends, our wonderful ward. I can't express how much love I have for everyone we have in our lives. Thank you all for your kind words, support, in helping us every way shape and form.

Well today is my official due date!

and... no baby.

So I went to work as usual today, got my hair done, went to Ikea to walk around and purchased some picture frames for MJ's room, went to the mall to do more walking and check out the newly remodeled look and H&M. Tomorrow I'm off to go back to work for a few hours and hoping to continue working so I don't have to take maternity leave till she arrives.

On the bright side I'm getting everything done that I can while I'm able to. I got my hair done today, had a pedi over the weekend, getting laundry caught up, going to be organizing and go through a few more boxes that I haven't had time for till now.

I blame Ryan and say she is definitely her fathers daughter being late. He says she is all me and will come make her grand entrance whenever she so chooses (or is forced come next Tuesday on induction day!)

Although for my own selfish reasons I really hope she comes tomorrow or waits till Monday.
1) Friday afternoon I have a girls day out with my mom and oldest sister to go see Twilight. Yes truly that is one of my reasons. I know, I'm hanging my head in shame now.
2) My 2nd oldest sister is leaving out of town come Thursday till Sunday.

I had to laugh months ago when I had a dream that we went to go see Twilight and during the middle of it, my water broke. I'm beginning to not think that dream is not so funny any more..

But as everyone is saying, when she's ready she'll come out and I'm trying to enjoy the time I have, a long with sleep ect ect ect. But gosh dangit I'm so anxious for her to arrive! :D

7 days.
SEVEN days till I will be a MOM. There are way too many emotions and thoughts going on. I mean really, I'm old enough to take care of this little human?! Ryan asked the other day "So what do we do when we get home from the hospital?" my response.. "Keep her alive"
We are both past excited and have moved to the state of being anxious to finally see her and hold her in our arms.

I have moved on to the waddling stage, it's pretty sexy as I strut my stuff to and from the car.
All I day dream about is wearing pretty shoes and clothes again. I look at my sad shoe collection and lovingly tell them they will be worn again soon enough. And to my sandals that I've worn every single day for months, muahaha you will be going to the garbage soon enough.

Yesterday I had what I hope is my last visit, although I still had to make an appointment for next week in case she doesn't come. (She had better listen to her mama and come out by then!) All is well we're both healthy and doing great and now just playing the waiting game. Tick tock tick tock!

I have to remind myself that I can handle 2 more weeks as I attempt to roll out of bed while groaning and ask Ryan to give me a friendly push. Who knew pregnancy had so many ''chores.'' I sure didn't! Just getting pants on I am ready for a break. I have now worn the same sandals EVERY DAY for about 4 months and as of yesterday they are now no longer fitting. Welcome back elephantiasis it's so good to see you again, thanks for the adding to the sexy appeal of my legs which by the way I have totally given up on shaving. That's right, I'm a hairy whale, who knew.
As of next I am finally giving in and going part time in to work. Too many hormones!! Either my back and feet ache, or I'm completely annoyed by clients that are grumpy, stare downs from the Seniors for lack of my wedding ring due to sausage fingers, awkwardly standing cutting hair so the belly doesn't keep kitting the clients arms, and don't get me started on trying to lean over and wash my clients hair.

But on the upside! Many wonderful clients asking questions about my pregnancy, giving me a smile and say here's a little extra something as they tip me. Receiving a free baby swing from a complete stranger! Thank you to the sweet old orange dyed hair lady who when I told her my due date told me that I look small for how far a long I am. Lady, I could have jumped in your arms and kissed your cheeks for making me feel so happy!

Come Monday with my Moms help we will begin Mary's nursery room. Now the fun part of moving begins! So excited to decorate it, clean her clothes, find places to put teeny tiny little shoes and tights. Oh my goodness baby clothes are so stinking cute I am so excited to be having a girl. I will have way too much fun dressing her up.

It's strange how I haven't even met her yet but I love her so so much! She is so worth the heart burn, stretch marks, aches and pains, lack of sleep. (which btw totally thought that didn't start till AFTER the baby begins...yeah I know, you mothers have a smirk on your face right now and are saying 'oh just you wait')

So here's to hoping for a quick 2 weeks and looking forward to seeing my sweet lil munchkin :D

It has been a crazy couple of weeks! We have officially moved out of our old apartment and moved to a basement apartment in Millcreek. Yay, no more apartment complexes!! This is only one trip of moving some of our things, Ryan and I felt like we should be on the show hoarders, it was a nightmare. I don't know what I would have done with out my mom coming and helping me organize. I'm so sick of moving I could have cried looking at everything sitting there. Thankfully we are just about done finding new homes for everything and than on to the fun part Monday... MJ's room! After her room is done she is more than welcome to show up early! ;) Nov 15th is just around the corner!

My birthday was the 24th, it was a pretty relaxing day! I went to work for a few hours,

went and got my hair done (bitter sweet thing about pregnancy and pre natals is that

my hair grows crazy fast! I know i'll need it done again as soon as Mary comes or

if I have time just before her arrival.

Ryan surprised with me roses and took me to dinner to Archibalds. yum!

It was fun walking around, I've never gone during Halloween! heck I haven't even

back since we got married and had our reception there!

After a week of basically having no life other than work, moving and cleaning;

It was so much fun to see friends, eat delicious food (seriously amazing,
we ate soup, home made bread sticks, lots and lots of treats) We were definitely

Made it to 32 weeks!! oh how the next 8 will be the longest yet fly by I'm sure (at least I hope!) If it weren't for the constant back pain the last couple of weeks I would say pregnancy has been much more enjoyable. But thankfully I have a wonderful husband a long with from my last post the ice pack, heating pad and massager. I feel like I have nothing ready for this little girl. We are moving out of our apartment the end of October and looking for a 2 bedroom so I haven't really done a whole lot to get ready since there is no where to put anything. Bedding & clothes are at my parents, crib is at Ryan's parents waiting to be put together, a few crafts are in the making which I can't wait to see how they turn out! I am so anxious for her to be here and can't wait to meet her, on the other hand I'm not ready! I can't believe I'm actually going to be a Mom.

Pregnancy not so loving..

You are amazing....

for so many reasons but today that reason is for cleaning our apartment while I was at work.
Today was busy. My feet and back were aching as I was getting ready to leave and face the doom of coming home knowing we made Saturday night plans to clean. (We're such an exciting couple right?!)
I almost cried of joy seeing the front room clean, the dishes done, bed made, clothes put away, even our shoes put neatly in each row in the closet.
I feel like some days I'm back in the first trimester of pregnancy. I get tired out of no where and can easily nap for hours. You haven't once complained of my lack of being a good wife, your lack of dinners, even falling asleep on the couch on your birthday.
Thank you for making me feel like a giddy teenager again with you whispering to me how beautiful I am and wanting to make out. Holding my hand and always asking what can you do for me.

I am the lucky one, thank you for all that you do for me and our soon to be growing family. <3 xoxo

The Name

We decided when thinking of names for our future children that we wanted the first born daughter to be named after her great grandma O. (Ryan's grandma) She was an incredible woman and I want our daughter to have someone to look up to and read about. Grandma Mary wrote a journal and left it behind for her children and grandchildren to read. In it she writes about her childhood, the Armenia genocide, and tragedy of her parents being killed and herelf being kept in hiding. -I should have had Ryan write this post since he is the story teller in our family and obviously knows much more about these details than I do. *picture of Grandma Mary & Ryan

After marriage and children and being on the wealthier side living in Armenia and now having the gospel in her life they knew they wanted to move to the United States, to Utah. They had to leave the majority of their belongings and money and could only bring a few rugs (they were rug makers in Armenia) and a few of their personal belongings. They spent the rest of their life poor but Ryan has said they were the happiest people you would meet as well as the most giving. Their testimonies in the church were strong and they had many blessings from our Father in Heaven so they would not go hungry and to know that everything would be ok. I love her journal and can't wait for baby Mary to read about this side of her heritage.

So with that history said, we were thrilled to find out that we were to expect a little girl this fall. Also because coming up with a boy name we both like has been so difficult! You should hear some of the names Ryan has come up with... really?? I cant' even pronounce some of them! ;)

Mary will also be named after my mom's middle name 'Jean'. My mom means the world to me and is another wonderful example for baby Mary to look up to.

seller who wanted to buy it from them for a substancial amount of money

but they knew and had planned to giving to the church. They knew no English

What an incredible, crazy and very tiring weekend! Great family and friends, delicious food, fun activities. Best weekend of the summer :D

(25 weeks pregnant)

Ryan surprised me with dinner at The Roof at Joseph Smith Memorial Building

Their buffet is a pregnant woman's dream, so many choices of
delicious food and treats! Pretty sure I looked 9 months pregnant after we left..

Next morning on Monday we got up and spent the day in Park City. Last year for our honeymoon we spent the weekend there so it was fun to go back to the arts festival. Quite different this year! I about passed out from the heat and lack of water..and so much walking! My calfs are feeling it today! Ryan was such a sweet heart letting me take my time, holding my hand so I wouldn't trip and kept asking if I was ok and needed anything.

mmm best part of the day! We are addicted to these, try the
Butterfinger caramel apple if you haven't already. Delish!

Next surprise stop was seeing a concert! The Utah symphony paired
up with some broadway singers singing classics from Mama Mia,
Wicked, Phantom of the Opera ect What else could a girl ask for
listening to great music with her husband and eating Cafe Rio out side.

After being in the sun all day and walking I look dead, I was beat! I had so much fun and loved spending the entire day with my sweetheart. It was such a treat to just be
with each other especially come this fall he will be full time working and a full time student. boo.
Happy one year anniversary Ry! This past year has flown by that's for sure. We've had
some great adventures and look forward to the many more

This year has been incredible to us, I love married life, nothing better than waking up next to this handsome guy and coming home each day to my best friend. Yummy home made pizza! here's the recipe for those who asked :)

I got my pizza crust just at the grocery store pre made (pillsbury pizza dough)

8 oz of fresh mozzarella cheese (I used Galbani Mozzarella fresca) there's enough for two pizzas or you can use the whole thing for one cheesy pizza. Cut in small/medium slices.

One tomato sliced

pepperonis

half of green bell pepper

sprinkle basil on top

obviously you can use what you like but these are the toppings we love.

cook in oven at 430 degrees for 10 minutes than let sit after for a few minutes to cool off. I like to put it in for another 5 on broil just to make the top a bit more crispy.

Super easy and way yummy! Enjoy! :D

It's bitter sweet knowing August is approaching and summer will be ending. We have had such a short summer but in a sense I'm grateful for that as well as it hasn't been the hottest summer this year either. I have to crank on the AC all the time, my cankles are ever so sexy and I hate finding clothes to wear out because it's just too dang hot. I may be complaining as well because I haven't spent as much time as the pool as I would have liked due to skin still healing after a horrible sunburn. Reminder to self: skin is much more sensitive when pregnant, and even if I plan on only staying out by pool for a half hour with out sunscreen.. set an alarm on my phone due to falling asleep for 2 hours. That's right, smartie pants here did just that.

Unfortunately I still have no updated pictures other than a few close ups from Draper Days when we went and saw fireworks which I'll post another day. Maybe I'll get up the nerve to post a ''belly picture'' we'll see...

A couple of days ago I was having quite the rough day all around. I wanted to complain about everything whether it was my back and feet hurting, stretch marks appearing, swollen hands and ankles, breaking out on my chin again, feeling huge and not attractive. After my sweet husband telling me I'm more beautiful than ever and telling our sweet girl to hurry and grow strong that he is anxious to see her I realized how selfish I was being. Now before I go on let me say for the record I have completely enjoyed pregnancy, I was just having ''one of those days.'' I have been fortunate enough to not get sick at all, to still work full time being on my feet all day and be carrying a healthy beautiful baby girl. I am going to be a mom!

I kicked myself in the butt for having a pity party that day and now trying to embrace all of these so called negative things about pregnancy. After all they are only temporary, my feet will look and feel normal again, my back aches and heart burn will fade, I WILL fit into my other clothes again, and who cares about stretch marks, it's not like I plan to wear a bikini ever again and apparently the hubby thinks their ''cool'' looking. I disagree but again, who cares?!

I can't wait till M.J arrives, to finally see and hold her, it's surreal just thinking about it. Coming up on 23 weeks this week, this pregnancy seems to flying by!

She is still a girl! We went in for a check up ultrasound yesterday and Ryan says to me before we get there, what if the first ultrasound was wrong and they tell you it's a boy' haha. I don't care what we have as long as we have a beautiful healthy baby. But we are still having ourselves a little Mary Jean. I get to see her on the big screen again in 2 weeks since she was being a stinker and they couldn't see everything they wanted. But she is looking great and growing perfectly. Just wish she would move around more! She loves to stay on my lower side on top of my bladder. So whenever I stand up from sitting it takes me a minute cause she is pushing against that left side.

This week has been pretty fun! Thanks to our friends Drew and Emily who called to inform us that Sears was having a blow out sale on cribs. We purchased a crib for 50 bucks! originally almost 300. oh yeah, bargain shoppers! We saw an awesome firework show with Bryce and Megan at the Taylorsville days, seriously the show lasted 35 minutes! And genius me took my purse that weighs a million pounds and wore crappy flip flops so of course by the time we walked to our destination my back and feet were killing me!

I've been slacking off in the picture department I really need to take some of our summer adventures! Especially with my new amazing camera Ryan bought me. I'm still looking like I got hit by a truck though, that or looking like Ryan beats me because my eyes are red underneath and sore looking. The skin just will not heal up thanks to these pregnancy hormones I'm guessing. yay for cover up though!

I can't believe I am already into my 5th month of pregnancy! I have loved it and have been so lucky to not be sick at all. I only have minor complains but I wouldn't change them for anything, I can't wait to meet our little girl in November it's still so crazy to me to think I'm actually going to be a mom.

17 miracles

Last night we went with some friends to see ''17 Miracles'' I knew it would be a good movie but didn't realize how amazing it would be. I have heard of many of the miracles and it was such a powerful thing to watch and feel that comforting sweet spirit, I don't think there was a dry eye in the theatre. Levi Savage' journal writings of the experiences of the Willie Handcart Company are powerful and true. I am so incredibly grateful for all that I have, we really are spoiled to have so much. An interesting thing as well, stay for the credits to read a small bit about 'Albert'. I highly recommend seeing this movie I definitely want to see it again. I know for me living day to day I get caught up in the world and forget to think of the sacrifices our ancestors made so that we may be here and have a better life, have the gospel in our lives to teach our children and so forth.

Ryan and I couldn't hold out any longer to find out what we will be having in November. So we made the appointment and headed to the fetal photo studio and got an ultra sound there. I'm already biased and think this baby is just the cutest thing ever. Hand resting on the face at first, than kicking and moving around, waving, sticking the tongue in and out. It's safe to say Ryan and I are completely in love with our little Girl! We are thrilled and can not wait to meet our little Mary Jean Ouzounian. She will be named after Ryan's grandma who is an amazing woman (another blog about why she is so great) and Jean is my mothers middle name. We'll call her MJ for short as her nickname. I'm already having way too much fun looking online at girl clothes, nursery ideas, and can't wait to make adorable matching headbands and bows. Bring on the frills and ruffles!

I have come to find very quickly that being pregnant and having allergies this time of season do not mesh well. It is most definitely not attractive waiting for that sneeze to come during a hair cut when my client is looking at me through the mirror contemplating 'is she about to sneeze or seizure..'

To the lady who said she was once a nurse and I look like I'm carrying twins...thanks for the self esteem blow. not funny.

I know lotion and body butter do nothing to stop stretch marks but it makes me feel better in my pretend world. So to the 3 little stretch marks don't you get any bigger! again i'm in my fantasy land cause I know there will be a family of stretch marks as this little one continues to grow.

I feel fat and unattractive till I come home to a husband who still whistles at me, calls me the most beautiful thing who has walked the Earth (no I'm not making that up, he really said it!) Than after some belly rubbing and kissing telling our wee one he loves him/her I am on cloud 9.

Hopefully the next pregnancy we can plan it to where I am not pregnant in the summer time. Pile on the layers rather than wearing as light and little clothing as possible. I'm not looking forward to house arrest for 3 months when the baby arrives.

Forgetfulness has never made me feel more ..oh i forget the word... but seriously I am constantly forgetting everything! Ryan has to go through the checklist whenever we leave some place. Have your phone? have your keys? your purse? have your water bottle? Poor guy has to call my phone when 'lost' countless time, drive me to his grandparents home right when they were going to bed to retrieve my phone. I swear this child is not only taking over my belly region, energy and nutrients it is now taking my brain cells as well. I may as well be a vegetable after he or she arrives.

Although I do have to say for the upside of being pregnant in the summer season I am loving the summer fresh foods and frozen items. Otter pops and ice cream are a staple in the freezer, all of last week for lunch I ate a fresh green salad and bowl of fruit can we say delish? And I am oh so grateful our apartment complex has a pool. The babe and I are going to get our vitamin B rays today after lunch.

(btw for those who don't know, Ryan and I made the deal that I would do laundry, cooking ect if he would do dishes since he says he doesn't mind doing them and I hate doing dishes)

Sunday After a full week of dishes being in the sink, it's starting to smell... 11 pm I do the dishes.

Monday 9am Ryan "Morning sweetheart! I'm going to make you breakfast today cause I love you, k?"

I walk in to the kitchen to see this and delicious pancakes awaiting. Oh how I love my husband even when he frustrates me.

I honestly really can't complain about anything about pregnancy. I truly have been blessed to have it easy so far which with working full time I'm extremely grateful for. I never had morning sickness, a bit of nausea in the beginning if I wasn't eating every so often. I was tired A LOT in the first trimester. Finally hearing the heart beat was amazing, even more having Ryan there by me. I love how involved he wants to be, going to all of the visits making sure we are both doing well. Ryan has been amazing supporting me and willing to massage my shoulders and back whenever needed. As well as loving this growing changing belly of mine. Telling me every day how beautiful I am, and have that pregnancy 'glow'. Personally I think the ''glow'' is from my acne and wonderful shine and grease. beautiful right? but still the same he makes me feel amazing and boosts my self confidence.

Thankfully I haven't had any major food aversions. Fast food makes me sick, as well as carbonation, RI.P diet coke :( As far as cravings go, nothing crazy. I indulge in my otter pops, love fresh fruit, and absolutely love banana peppers. I could seriously buy a jar and eat the whole thing right now. I am always wanting a subway sandwich with a ton of them on there which the subway employees now know me by name and know they will be making me one of two sandwiches, spicy italian or the chicken breast. yum.

I have officially packed many of my clothes due to the new season change and no longer fitting me. I broke down and got maternity pants and shorts. After wearing my regular pants for about 15 minutes I have to unbutton them and feel like a fatty on Thanksgiving day.

I make it a point to ask clients if they have children hoping they will ask me so I can mention there is a baby growing in me and it's not from over eating.

I'm even more grateful now that we bought a king size bed to make room for the body pillow. My hips were beginning to hurt and cause me lack of sleep so now I spoon with my pillow each night while Ryan is left in the dust on his side. poor guy.

Only a few more weeks till we know the gender!! I have no clue whatsoever, not even an inkling so I'm even more anxious to find out. And in all honesty I really don't care what we have since I want a family of boys and girls anyway and just want to have a healthy happy baby. 4 months down, 5 to go till this little one arrives!

And yes you will notice there are no recent pictures of me in posts, it's not a mistake. I haven't taken one picture of myself since I've been pregnant, shame on me I know.

Ha well what do you know... guess who gets to speak in church this coming Sunday....why yes that would be me (and Ryan) I knew my 4 year streak would end soon, I was just hoping it wouldn't be for another ohhh 10 years or so?

On the bright side I get to speak about Temples and have a wonderful husband who loves speaking to receive help from. Wish me luck!

I so look forward to this Wednesday I can't hardly wait *ahem not* I have to go to a drivers class for a ticket. Awesome I know! for the hour and a half I will be making my grocery and to do list, maybe come up with some baby names while I'm at it. Even though Ryan and I are on a strict no talking about baby names since we can't seem to agree on either of ours. If it's a girl we are good to go, if a boy...well he shall be nameless for perhaps the first year of his life. again, wish us luck on that one too!

Well the weekend has come and gone way too fast! as always. It is some times such a bummer to have mine and Ryans work times so different, he's mon-fri 9-5 job and mine depends on the week with including every saturday obviously. So my weekend is whenever I have a day or two off together.
This weekend was more of a relaxing hanging out one with a surprise birthday party dinner for a friend, dinner at Ryan's parents with their delicious taco's. (Trust me, they are THAT good) and walks around our complex feeding the 2 different baby duck families, baby geese, and finding a turtle hanging out on the bottom of the stream. Hogle Zoo for 10 bucks or come to our complex for free!

We got our callings in our ward, and excited we get to serve with each other as ward missionaries! And I'm pretty sure my streak of not speaking in church is about to end. 4 years with out speaking in sacrament is going to end i'm sure soon. dang. I also added on my ''Getting to know you'' paper in Relief Society on the question 'What callings would you like to be a part of'' or something to that effect. I answered "Anything but teaching! ;) ) yes I included in the wink face.
I can't help it, I would love to help in any way shape or form...but teaching or speaking. I get tongue tied, I sound like I'm going to start crying in any second because my voice is shaking so bad. Yes this is me we are talking about, even miss social butterfly is not a fan of public speaking.

Give me, nursery, primary even young women's any day! but speaking and teaching adults...I'll leave that to the professional of Ryan. That boy could seriously teach and talk all day long, he loves it!

So that was our exciting weekend, that and the tummy is officially poking out! In just a week I went from a tiny lil barely noticeable bump to now an actually 'belly' what, are there 3 in there? jk! but seriously knock on wood. We are loving it and can't wait to find out what we will be having :D

Happy Mothers day!! I am truly blessed to have this woman as my mom and friend

She has always been at my side rooting for me, looking out for me and wanting me to be happy.

I have learned so much from her, I hope to be at least half the mother she has been and still is.

She has taught me to be kind to everyone, that family and the gospel are the most

important things in life; everything else is just a bonus. She is a fabulous cook!

She continues to inspire me when I see her reading her Book of Mormon, finding and telling

me about a good church book to read. (Currently I have started reading ''The Work & The Glory")

She is one of the most giving and selfless people I know. Even through my ''stubborn'' teen

years I have learned from her and now as I look back I can say 'yeah, she

really did know what she was talking about! Mama does know best!' haha

I'm so grateful to have her in my life and to learn more from her as I become

a mother in 6 months (yikes!)

So apparently you can go to the mall and do those 3-D video/pictures of your baby and know the gender right then and there! (yes I knew they exist but didn't know about finding out the gender so early on)
Ryan was telling me our friend Kara told him about it. I am so tempted to try this out in a few weeks when I am to week 14.

By the way, bless my client or the clothes I was wearing the other day because she said she couldn't tell at all that I'm pregnant, because I sure see it and feel it! It's exciting but frustrating at the same time cause I just feel ''fat'' right now. Clothes are tighter, certain shirts are definitely a no go right now. I can't wait till I finally look pregnant so people don't think "hmm she is looking a bit chubby these days..."

So I posted the poll to the side, so let's see who is right when we find out! I don't know if I can hold out till the midway point to find out if a little buddy or princess is growing inside of me.

Ryan and I were able to have a sleep over party with 3 of my sisters kids. We ate sloppy joe's, ate popcorn and ice cream while watching ''Tangled'' (adorable movie btw) and spent the next day walking around the apartment complex enjoying the weather.

The weather may not entirely show it's spring but in our apartment complex you know it is here! Beautiful cherry blossoms, the water running through the creek, and every single dang morning the sound of stupid geese honking constantly. Who needs an alarm clock with they wake everyone up by 7/7:30 am.

Oh and loving that we can't go out on our porch and enjoy the warmer weather yet because our lil pigeon friends like to visit us and sit on our lights and take dumps in the corner.

This weather is making me depressed! I am in major need of a vacation, when Ryan asked where I said anywhere with some sun. Do you have times where you just feel like every day is the same. I feel like I'm in the movie groundhog's day. I'm so over the doom and gloom weather.

I'm ready for 70 degree plus weather. If only I could afford one of these pretties...

I'm ready to eat mouth watering watermelon and any other fruit, spring cleaning (i know right?) flip flops, smell of coconut tanning oil, swimming pools, bbq's, driving with the window down and over sized sun glasses on, no more coats! laying on the grass, tan lines, camping for a first with my husband, flowers blooming

First weekend of April and it looked nothing like Spring! We woke up Sunday morning to a winter wonderland. As beautiful as it looked, I was not smiling. After all it was 70 degrees the day before! Than again I shouldn't be shocked because after all, it is Utah we live in. It can snow all the way up till May if it wants! (oh please oh please don't!)

It was so fun to snuggle up next to Ryan in our awesome new KING sized bed! yay for no longer sleeping on an air mattress! I do not miss that thing in Colorado. It's amazing what excites you as we get older. We spent the rest of the day at my parents with the fam eating delicious food and listening to the remainder of conference. I love listening to the words of our prophets, I always leave the tv with that sweet spirit and wanting to be a better person, a better wife, daughter and friend. I truly am grateful to be a member of this true church, to have so many blessings in my life.

On another note, speaking of getting older and what gets to be exciting ... my mom is letting me use her bread maker and I can't wait to make some fresh home made bread. Ryan eats bread like no other and we need a break from buying it constantly. I would take fresh bread and jam over candy/chocolate/other treats any day!

with our white walls and brown/tan furniture in the family room I've added this

and two yellow pillows for the color. so easy! just cut circles of felt, fold twice and

pin onto whatever size stirofoam ball you have.

Hallelujah! and the usb has been found! From time to time when living with the parentals I did some blogging in the family room on the couch. Well low and behold, it was under the couch! Thanks for finding it Dad! ...now to find the battery charger for the camera....lol

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Naturally this project isn't completely finished but whatever it works for now. I just want to add a few buttons and ribbon onto some letters. My friend was able to get these letters cut out so we had a girls night in doing some sanding, painting and modpodging.

Since we have moved to our new home I have failed to find my camera usb cord. I just love moving, losing clothes, house hold items, dvd's and not just this move but all of my previous moves combined. Anyway enough rambling. So till I find the black beauty I have no pictures to share.

However tonights story has no need of pictures... I have never felt so sick to my stomach before.
I had just chowed down on some sonic and drinking a delicious strawberry limeade, completely full and went back to cutting hair. As I look down to begin cutting the top of my clients hair I see that my wedding ring is no longer on my finger. For a second I feel like I'm going to loose my lunch all over my client, and then I think oh, well maybe just maybe I'm delusional and forgot to wear it today. But sure enough from the slight imprint lines around my finger I knew I really had worn it today. I hurried and finished the cut and frantically looked around my station, the computer, ran to the back room almost in tears. I sat there thinking what and how was I supposed to tell Ryan I lost my wedding ring. Insert major anxiety at this point. I sat there praying that it would be found that some miracle would happen and I would have it back and promised to never take it off at work again.

And did that miracle happen? well...not quite. I look to my left to where my purse lay and to my amazement on top of my yellow wallet lays my ring next to my lotion that I had put on before my hair cut so I wouldn't smell like food. Looks like coloring my hair brown doesn't take away the ''blonde moments'' after all.

Lessons learned: 1. I need more sleep so I actually remember what I did 5 minutes before
2. I will never never take my ring off at work again. I tend to do it when I put in mens sticky gel in their hair.

Valentines day is one of my most favorite holidays ever! Yes it is super ridiculously cheesy, yes people say it's just a day for stores to up their sales in chocolates, flowers and oversized stuffed animals. But I love it all! well except for the oversized stuffed animals. I was thrilled to find out that I didn't have to go into work today, I spent the day purchasing chocolates, sparkling cider, organizing our home and get everything ready for a romantic dinner for our first married Valentines Day.

The weekend is over and it's back to reality of working two jobs, thank heavens I only had one job to work last week so I was able to put most of my time and energy into unpacking, organizing and decorating our new home. With a few things left to do we are basically done! Yesterday was Superbowl Sunday and we had so much fun! We weren't able to go to Huntsville with my side of the family so we went to our friends Steve and Kylie to their party. Kylie and I lasted the first quarter than it was time to pull out our craft bags.

I made these little babies (thanks to this blogger) and can't wait till the white one is finished so I can put them up for the holiday.

The past week has been a bitter sweet one. My sister, her husband and two beautiful children (finally met the baby!) are in town and can't wait to spend time with them.

Ryans Aunt passed away last week, it was a shock to us all and will be attending her funeral tomorrow. It's a reminder of how short life really is and we need to live life to it's fullest. It is such a blessing to know the plan of salvation, to know that there is life after death and we will be re united with loved ones.

It has been 6 months now that we have been married, crazy how time flies by!! I swear it was just a few weeks ago is all. We have finally been able to unpack our wedding gifts and use them, purchase some items from gift cards (Thank you!!) We have slacked off and need to sit down and write our Thank You notes to everyone.

Although I am finding MANY MANY things that I want and of course it's always so stinking pricey. I can't wait till my next day off to check out the D.I, ikea, hobby lobby mmm yes, makes my heart all warm thinking of having our own place to call home and be able to decorate as I like.

Holy cow, time is flying by so quickly. Two New Year resloutions down and many to go. I am now working a second job as a secretary a few days a week so that has been exciting to up our budget haha as well as have an excuse to wear heals because I am a flat shoe wearing girl at the hair salon. We also finally found a place to live other than my parents basement. We are hoping to move in slowly over the next couple of weeks and I can't tell you how excited I am to be able to FINALLY pull out wedding gifts and use them, decorate our place and take full advantage of the clubhouse swimming pool and work out room to loose my winter flubber. Mr. O is going to school this semester and still on the job hunt since I cant play sugar mama forever...

After only one week of working 2 jobs, 60 hours this week I am pooped! I salute the doctors,nurses and other professions who are on their feet at crazy hours of the day, those who are students and working, I don't know how you do it, you're all awesome.

I am at work right now as I text this from my phone so dont judge my mispelling or missing letters if there are any. Hope you all had a fabulous weekend and enjoy this next week!

Happy New Year! Welcome 2011

2010 has come and gone and what a year it was! Here are some of the highlights:

*Traveling to Vegas with friends and being on the show "Let's make a deal" ok well more so being in the audience fanatically waving our arms hoping to be picked to win some money

*Getting engaged and having a wonderful night with friends eating good food!

* You just never know what you'll run into on the trax in down town Salt Lake.

* Enjoying being engaged and planning a wedding, my friend Sara was so sweet to take our engagement pictures. We had so much fun, and enjoyed every moment.

* Playing dress ups for an early morning

* Getting married after planning for almost 4 months! Davey and April did a wonderful job from Pointedigital.

* Living in a new state for my first time, enjoying being newlyweds and checking out what Colorado has to offer.

* Cutting our stay in Colorado short by 2 months and coming home and enjoying date nights in Utah again

What a year! Through the good, the bad, the laughs and tears it was quite an adventure. I can't wait for the many more we will have this year.

With the exception of Ryan being sick, we had a wonderful first Christmas together!

There is nothing better than a full house of siblings and their kids, delicious food

and playing wii games like ''Just Dance 2'' SO much fun!

We got great gifts from my parents, each other and Santa. I personally love my

cute apron my mom gave me. Ryan was sure spoiled this year! He got a snuggie (That

apparently you can wear while fishing..) leather jacket, shirts and ''How to Train your Dragon" movie. We have been blessed this year and look forward to what 2011 brings!

Goodbye Nordstroms, Kohle's, The Loft, Victoria's Secret ugh. No more frivolous shopping sprees, so long to rewards points and getting excited when receiving mail for 20% and up off items when using my cards.

Hello to being a poor married couple on a tight budget! ... and loving it all! Even though 'date nights' some evenings have turned into staying in watching a movie together or just going for a nice walk/drive rather than going out to dinner and a movie. I am so grateful for a husband who is frugal and is fun to just be with and hang out and not have to go out looking for something to entertain us. One day I will have those shopping sprees again! ;)

I had planned a date night for Ryan and I a few weeks ago and got tickets to see the

Salt Lake Choir and brass band perform. Even though we are both under the weather

we still wanted to go. We arrived early to Temple Square so we went to the Church Museum

across the street to see the rug his grandparents had made and given the church.

The rug is beautiful, I'm speechless every time I see it. I can't imagine all of the time and

work they put in to making this one of a kind rug. His Armenian heritage

is quite the story that I look forward to sharing with our children one day.

As much as I wanted to walk around and see the lights Ryan only let us stay out long

enough to have a picture taken since we are both sick. Looks like another date night

down town will have to be scheduled soon!

I have been awful taking pictures lately so I don't have a single one of Ryan's and my first Thanksgiving together. It was a great day and relaxing. We had dinner with my parents than headed over to Ryan's grandmas home to visit.

This year I am grateful

*an amazing husband who loves me even when I steal the covers at night and take over the bed to find 'the cold spot'

*for wonderful parents who love and support us. and for letting us live with them for free temporarily.

*my amazing sisters and their families I adore my nephews and nieces.

* Ryan's family who from the beginning let me into their home and lives with open arms.

* The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, I am so blessed to have been born and raised in the church having wonderful leaders teach me, an amazing Prophet who I dearly love and look up to.

* For a job and the clients that come in with great stories to share, especially those that are good tippers ;)

* my amazing friends who love me including my faults and imperfections, knowing I can count on them for anything and everything.

* having good health, it breaks my heart and humbles me to be thankful when I read blogs or hear of those going through horrible illnesses.

* Those who are so open to share their experiences on their blogs so that we may all learn and be grateful for what we have in our lives and remember what is truly most important.

Oh it is so good to be back home with family and friends! I am fortunate enough to have found a job so quickly and only 15-20 minutes away from my parents where we are staying till we find a place. Now we are just hoping Ryan can find a good job quickly and settle into our own home before school starts the beginning of next year.

So long Colorado!

Tonight is our last night in Colorado! We are thrilled to be coming home and be closer to family and friends.
As I am waiting for a batch of clothes to be washed I figured I would take a break from packing and do nothing else but blog and put off the other needed packing..

Colorado has been a great experience and it was pretty fun to live here! We weren't able to do everything we were hoping to do but plans changed and we are coming home early. There's always next summer if we come back!

We will miss

*Having it just be the two of us, the lazy days and fun times of exploring our temporary home

*Our neighborhood woodland pets i.e bunnies, chipmunks, deer, squirrels (they are seriously every where!)

*The sweet families and kids I nannied for, I had so much fun with them!

*Sleeping in... I am so not a morning person so once I am home and working full time again it's not going to be a pretty picture for the first while

To humor my sister Brittani along with our friends and other family members of our adventures living in our 'Colorado home'

It has definitely been an experience to say the least. Jed & Chelsea...I don't know how you did it all summer long haha.

Her Rules:

*Only park on the right side of drive way (Under the tree that sheds like crazy leaving its sap on our cars)

*not allowed in the family room or to use bathroom on middle floor .. it's for her and guests only

*do not stack pans on top of one another "metal on metal...it'll scratch" so napkin or paper towel is to be placed between each one

*We are not allowed to use the vacuum therefor she will vacuum our room (we put the kabosh on that one!)

*Shut each door very very gently to not cause damage of any kind

*Pay half of any broken appliances while living there (This is not a marriage so that was a big no on our part)

She had 2 pages of things we had to abide by but these were a few.

Rule was for our privacy, before owner of home comes down stairs (to get to her office or do laundry) was to first knock and wait for either of us to let her know she is good to come down. Well...one day I was in the shower and Ryan was getting ready. The bathroom mind you is just below the stairs, so you know when it is on if you open the door.

She knocked on the door. No answer. ''Hello? helloooooo? hellloooooooooooo? still no answer and I'm thinking ok I am in the shower lady obviously we are both getting ready and too busy to answer. Than the cell phones start going off after the cowbell has been run a couple of times.

What was her hurry?

She needed us to move our cars some time soon.

We went to Utah for a family funeral. I closed our bedroom door, closed the bathroom door cause it's by the washer/dryer and didn't have time to clean it before we left.

Ryan gets a phone call saying our toilet is dirty and needs to be cleaned..... ok mommy!

We come home and she has left out of town. We find a note from her reminding us to clean bathroom and toilet and to keep lights turned off when leaving each room. I felt like I was 10 years old.

I could go on but than this would be a really long post! I highly recommend to live by yourselves when newly married if possible. As embarrassing or annoying as it has been living here it has made for some good laughs and great stories.

There's no place like home

A pair of magical red glitter shoes would have come in real handy at times to just click my heels and be home for family gatherings, friends weddings, game nights and Sunday dinners at my parents home.

Well no need for more wishing, we are moving back home!! Yes that is correct. Our original plan was to come home just before Christmas but work has slowed down for both Ryan and I that we feel it would be best to just come home since I have a salon job waiting for me and I could find a 2nd job as well. Ryan can find work as well as get everything ready to return to school. We are so excited to come home the end of the month and be close to our families and friends again.

Living in Colorado has been such a great experience

-I love being married to Ryan

- You can't sweat the small stuff because other wise what will you do when the big things arise

-Some times you just have to laugh and joke around about the small irritating things each other does like when one of us doesn't close doors and cupboards all the way, someone living out of his suitcase, playing tug 'o' war with the blankets at night, snoring, having more hair supplies than drawer space to put it in.

- We made a deal before we got married that if I would do the laundry he would do the dishes. muahaha I think I got the better deal of the bargain.

- There is nothing better than coming home to your best friend each day.

-I don't think I could ever get bored of Ryan, he is hilarious and we have the greatest conversations whether it be about our day, the gospel, future goals, ect

-Couple prayer and reading scriptures together each night.

I am grateful for the 2 1/2 months we will have spent here I have learned a lot about being married, about myself, that if you are going to live in someone's basement be prepared for their craziness and have communication with that person.

Welcome to the mall in Boulder Colorado. It's not as big as the Denver one but yay for free parking on a Saturday night! There are all sorts of street shows to watch while walking down the strip.

Date night in Golden which is just 10 minutes from us. It's a cute area that has a lot of smaller shops and yummy restaurants to try out.

Is that Wolverine in the picture?? no...that would be my husband. He looks pretty handsome! but I can't wait till he shaves it off and see that clean shaven face again ;)

Six weeks ago I married this amazing man

That day went by too quickly, we had so much fun and tried soaking up every bit of it.

We are so grateful for our families and friends for their love and being part of our

big day. Neither of us wanted the day to end, it was beautiful and we had a blast

dancing, using the photobooth, we didn't sit down once!

Oh how I miss my bubble of living in Utah. My family is there, my friends, I know where everything is and how to get there, I can drive with out sweating from anxiety cause if I miss my turn I still know how to get to my destination. If I'm bored I can call a friend to go and hang out and have some good chats with my mom & dad.

Today was eventful for me. I went out and about by MYSELF yes I drove to my destinations to get hair color and stop off at the mall in Denver with out Ryan. I know, I sound like a pathetic lil girl right now.

On the freeway my gps decides to ''lose connection'' awesome...

Finding a parking spot was a nightmare with one way street here and one way street there. I'm directionally challenged. I'm not gonna lie, I had to text a draft to remember exactly where I parked since I had limited time parking. oh yeah only meter parking unless you want to pay $5 dollars for each half hour in a parking garage.

The good, the bad & the ugly

The Good

1. No longer living in a ghetto apartment where it's a thousand degrees

2. Living in a basement where it's nice and cool

3. Grateful to be working 2 jobs which are both nanny jobs

4. We'll be celebrating our one month anniversary this weekend!

5. I have yet to burn a meal for us! *knock on wood

6. Living with the best roomate, marriage is a blast I highly recommend it.

7. Walking in the cool crisp air

8. Should be receiving wedding pictures some time soon!!!

The Bad

1. I'm slacking off in the unpacking our things department. living out of your suitcase is not fun.

2. Living 9 hours away from family and friends

3. Having no sense of direction here and no clue where anything is

(thank heavens for gps!!)

4. Changing diapers is never fun, especially when the kid puts their foot in it...

5. Winter will soon be on it's way

The Ugly

1. My nails are driving me crazy! the acrylic from the wedding has got to go!

2. I look rather white trash today I have to admit.

3. Sharing a bathroom with a boy.

hair boredom strikes again

One of the downfalls of being a hair stylist is you get bored of your own hair so fast! it has only been weeks since I last colored my hair for the wedding, days since I chopped off some bangs and I am ready for more of a change. What is it with us women changing our hair when we are either stressed out, depressed, or when we feel we need a change; hair is the first place we go to.

Since I am in a new state knowing no stylists to exchange hair treatments and obviously I cant foil the back of my own hair I will have to go with an all over color on the bottom half that way I can do it and wont be a huge pain in the butt.

I have been attempting to look on google for ideas....for this next month. Nothing crazy like going BLACK again. Maybe just

some more golds, coppers, or even some redish hues in it again.

Birthday Boy

Mr. O as his sunbeams call him, because 3 year olds don't know how to pronounce 'Ouzounian' go figure.

Was born on August 23rd. I decided to surprise the half man half fish to go to Aurora Resevoir for a beautiful day of swimming and renting a boat (the kind you paddle your feet to move)

His mother was right! It ALWAYS rains on his birthday! So instead I was a trooper and got in the cold water with him goosebumps and all. He was happy as a clam making the most of it and swimming around while my teeth chattered but couldn't help smile cause he is so optimistic and was enjoying himself.

Dinner at 'Sushi Sasa' oh my, soo good!

Happy Birthday Ryan! Being 25 will be a

great and wonderful adventure for you.

What we have been up to our first week of living in Colorado:

Besides unpacking some what (we are only living in the ghetto apartment till the end of the month, hallelujah!) There is actually food to eat other than top roman, the fridge and freezer no longer smell like 100 year old rotten eggs.

I'm a working woman again with 2 nanny jobs thanks to one of the wives that was out here for the summer. (her husband worked with Ryan)

Drove to Denver to run some errands with Ryan and made a stop at the mall. It reminds me of Gateway mall but MUCH bigger. hmmm can't wait to go back!

We went to Olde Town Arvada. One of the many shops there was a candy store. They have EVERY kind of candy you can think of. See how BIG the pez heads are! awesome

On the Road again

Farewell Utah!

I have never actually driven long distance, I have always been the passenger. So When Ryan told me I would be driving 9 hours to our new home I was a bit nervous I'm not going to lie. The longest I have ever driven is maybe 2 hours?

We had to drive separately so we could have both cars. The drive wasn't too bad but it was hecka boring! We took I-80 and there is nothing to look at other than lots of land and finally some cows a long the way. I kept myself entertained with some good 'ol M.J, 80's remix of The Police, Cindy Lauper, an awesome road trip mix I made if I say so myself. Playing 'I Spy' and other road trip games didn't work very well and I won each singing and dancing competition. yes dancing. I do not recommend driving for an extended period of time your first trip if you can help it.

And finally some life to see after 7 hours!

Ryan's car doesn't have the luxuries mine does: working speakers & cruise control. So to keep himself entertained he pulled out the headphones singing as loud as he could. Did I mention driving in his car there is no such thing as a quiet ride? In his tin can you can hear everything while driving on the roads.

9 hours later we have made it!!!!!! I was so excited to get out of the car I could have kissed the ground. The Welcome sign I soon found out was a bit deceiving... see next post.

Welcome to our very humble abode

Here is the courtyard where they have a couple of

bbq's you can use, don't worry the apartment to the left on the

bottom belonged to drug dealers and the apartment on the top floor by

us smoke pot every night. They didn't seem to be the most friendly neighbors.

I don't think I'll be asking for a cup of sugar from them any time soon...

Here is our only way of getting cool air in the bedroom, and

forget the rest of the apartment. Cool air doesn't exist.
We walked in seeing this beauty, while Ryan had been gone we

had some water damage...

Filthy carpet, moldy underneath and drywall from ceiling. awesome.
Thankfully we are only here till the end of the month, there is a distinct

smell when you enter, 3 lights don't work, no furniture, although we have a lovely fake plant in the corner. Train tracks right behind the apartment and yes the train passes early morning, shower that doesn't have a proper shower head on it, what can I say.

Welcome to the newly wed apartment!
But who better to live in another state in a dumpy apartment than with your wonderful caring husband. Even though we live in a ghetto home I couldn't be happier.

Mawriage

We are officially married! One week ago today we became husband and wife. I have NO pictures yet so i'll update on that as soon as I get them. The day was absolutely beautiful, it was overcast and a bit humid but I couldn't have been more happy that it wasn't a- 1000 degrees out and b-rained/hailed on the big day. It went by so quickly I couldn't believe how the time just flew. I couldn't have asked for a better day.

I'll update with pictures next! Off to bed since we have an early start for a 9 hour drive to our new home. Wish us luck!

Whoever said planning a wedding is a lot of work.....

is right! It's more work than I thought it would be! It has been fun but man alive I am so over it and ready to be done already! Thank heavens for my mom to push me and say hey lets do this, this and this today so we can cross it off! Now it's to the nitty gritty of finishing center pieces, deciding which pictures to print and put in their frames, START OVER from scratch on the stupid slide show I'm making wondering if it's really all that worth it with how many hours I'm putting into it. So for those who come to the reception and see it...hopefully it looks alright cause I have no clue what I'm doing. When it comes to computers I know the bare minimum.

Exciting things happening the next couple of weeks before the big day:

Last day of work next week! Than time to sit around and relax! (yeah I wish)

Sister is coming into town with my adorable nephew and nameless bun in the oven

Do last calls of family and clients hair cuts/colors till my next visit

pampering day of pedi's, mani's, facial, bed and spray on tan

My side of family bridal shower/pampered chef!

Tonight Ryan's family ward threw me a shower. It was fun, the ladies were wonderful and we had a great time.

well there's my post for the week, now off to that dang slide show ;)

I realized after signing my name on a purchase today that in 27 days I will no longer be signing Jannali Wood. Instead I will be signing Jannali Ouzounian. yeah my eyes widened a bit too. I'll definitely have to practice like a girl in middle school signing her name with her crushes last name on her notebook.

Well onto bigger news.... After we get married we will be moving to Arvada Colorado! Don't know where that is? no worries I didn't either till Ryan moved there in May. For how long we aren't entirely sure just depends on some things. As for now it's just till the end of the year. My mom and sisters weren't too thrilled to be losing their hair stylist, oh yeah and sister to another state. My mom said that I will just have to go and visit Ryan and stay here. nice try!

It's a bitter sweet move, I'll be sad to leave family, friends, my job, clients ect. However I look forward to be living in another state for my first time being with Ryan and having many adventures there at our 2nd home!
