Mom for a day

       My sister went out of town and needed some extra help with her kids while her hubby was at work. I spent Thursday night there and than all of Friday with them. It was fun fun! especially since the kids were so good for me, Usually little Mr. Jack the 2 year old who screams and runs away or scowls just when I look at him let a lone picking him up to say hi was even a good kid! no screaming for nap and bed time, didn't make too much of a mess while eating. I  wish I got a picture of him Friday morning tho, his disheveled hair and putting his hands over his face all because he is not a morning person and we looked at him when he was trying to eat. It was so funny! totally reminded me of old days of "Mom! tell Brittani to stop looking at me, Mom! tell Brittani to stop poking me!" gotta luv kids...Friday after the two older boys went off to school 

I took Jack and Sabra to get lunch at del taco and to see Ryan, Sabra LOVES Ryan. Whenever I come over or see her at my parents she always asks before she says hi to me where he is, and has this little sheepish grin when I tell her Ryan will see her soon. So we went to his house and ate, colored, watched Kung Fu Panda, played with trucks that Jack did not want to share as he kept saying "mine! mine!" and continue to drive them on my arm or Ryan's back. 

He was such a little stink trying to leave, he saw the snow on the ground and thought it was hilarious that I was chasing him around trying to get him to the car so we could be home in time for his brothers to get inside their house.

I'm so excited to move back to my parents house to be close by my family again, I love spending time with them whether it's for dinner, girls day out, babysitting or just sitting watching movies.

 Just missing one sister out here!....miss your Brittani! Can't wait to fly out when you have *Cletus i.e Cletus the Fetus her husband calls him right now haha!

My friend Jennilee got married! It was so fun going to her reception cause it was the same place my sister Stefani had her's, oh the memories of standing in the family line as a little flower girl waiting impatiently for people to stop coming in so I could rest my poor feet, sneaking off and eating more than one dessert..

Anyways! it was fun being with friends on her special day, she had a chocolate fondue with different desserts and treats to dip it in that was absolutely divine, I was a happy camper after a couple of plates full and pushed the guilt aside.

I was on amazon.com a while back looking for books, movies that I'd be interested in buy and came across this work out video.

 I've been wanting to stock up on some fun work out dvd's for the days that I don't feel like going to the gym and just want to stay at home. That way I have no reason to not work out. I tried it out this morning and loved it! Totally works your legs and abs, and it's fun too! You can youtube it and watch the girls, I definitely don't move like them, but hopefully I will one day, and they're abs are amazing holy cow! The past few weeks I've been trying to work hard and watch what I'm eating and to go to the gym at least 4-5 days a week, it helps that there are some really fun classes to take like the hip hop class and Zumba (that's another one to you tube) Zumba is amazing I would say, It's a mixed dance class with hip hop, latin, and others. It's fast paced and is high energy which keeps me going the whole time.

Instead of ice skating we went to fat cats, which Sara and I were both very pleased about. Well first, Sara and I met at Sage's cafe down town Salt Lake. (One of my favorite places, organic and sooo good) we got their tofu lettuce wraps which are my favorite and brownie's after which I didn't feel bad about eating cause they're healthier than the kind I make! The boys went to Cafe Rio in Sandy and picked us up to go bowling. Our friends Jake and Marina joined us there, we had lots of fun even with the horrible DJ playing non stop rap and 80's music.. come on buddy mix it up a little! We were the first in line to add our requests and he never played them! 

We than played in the game area, DDR and ski ball, deal or no deal ect. It was such a fun and was needing a good laugh since I have no income yet woo hoo!

I wish I could post a video I took with my camera there so you can see how Ryan's old mission companion exhausted us after the evening was over, he was a riot and has tons of energy! He was all over the place dancing, shouting hurray when I continued to hit 2 pins down or better yet hit nothing. Yes I am a HORRIBlE bowler, but Ryan helped give me some pointers cause he's pretty much amazing at it and killed us all the first round, barely placed 2nd to Huff the 2nd game.

long post sorry!

So I finally found my usb cord to post pictures woo hoo! So I went to Park City the other week to get some rnr, and it was great! One of my awesome clients lent me his home that he rents out to people, but since h

e loves me he lent it to me for free! (even better!) The house is amazing! 9 beds, amazing kitchen and master bedroom that over looks park city, hot tub, big bath tub which I definitely used, and yeah pretty much just awesome! The first night Tiffany, Paige and I drove there, well first got lost for about 15 minutes since it was dark and snowing therefor we couldn't read signs all that well. As you can see we had a bit of a dilemma  trying to get my car in the garage with the snow and ice.

We went hot tubbing and watched a movie, the next day went to the BR with Tiffany and bought a few cute shirts that were half off and 60% off! woo hoo! Tuesday I had the day to myself which was great than had friends come over, we played Cranium than wen 

into the hot tub. Well I've never had a hot tub and didn't know you need to give it a few hours to heat up so we more so "warm tubbed" It was still fun tho. 

I wish I could have stayed longer but had to get to my old high school for the dance performance, they asked some of the alumni to perform. Ryan was unable to come to P.C as he was pretty sick those days but was feeling better and came to the performance and brought me flowers! He is so sweet I was so happy that he was able to come and support me, even tho it's been 5 years since I've danced and sure didn't look as good as I used to but in his eyes he said I looked great :)

Well onto other news if anyone knows of non booth rent hair salons hiring in the Salt Lake area let me know! As of yesterday I was let go do to business being extremely slow and not being able to pay me anymore. I had my pity moment after I left for a minute, but now am excited to look for a place that is busy and can finally make some good money again. Ok I take that back, not so much excited "looking" per say but excited to work again in a salon and be busy. I wasn't very happy anyways there since I was always sitting in the back hoping for someone to come in for a hair cut, and since I was last booked all the time I never got the walk ins.. well the few that did just walk in. It's a bitter sweet thing, just glad that it ended the way it did in a way and it having nothing to do with my working ability.

Tonight Ryan and I are going on a double date with one of his missionary companions and a friends of mine! We are going ice skating and who knows what after. I'm sure I'll get some great battle wounds tonight as I am not a very good skater, at least Ryan will be by my side cause if I'm going down I'm taking him with me! jk.

Lots to post!! but Ryan says it can wait till tomorrow and is asking me to come hang out with him.. I'm down stairs being a nerd checkin my blog.. We just got back from seeing the Draper Temple! The open house is till March 14 I think. I advise EVERYONE to go, it's beautiful and a great experience. I love the feeling when I go to the Temple... even with thousands of people around me.

Welp this plea goes out to all you pro bloggers out there. I am still not satisfied with the current background, but I must say with what I had to choose from this was the most painless on my eyes... With that said I need some recommendations for some macho backgrounds I figure that if my name is on this blog, that I must be represented well, for heavens sake I have a reputation to hold up here ladies. And since I submitted to doing "The blog scene" I'll need some help finding cool macho back grounds. Now, what I am looking for will be under the themes of: 1. Cars (really cool ones) 2. Yesterday and today I had a "to do" list...and of course didn't accomplish much of anything. I'm sitting here surfing the net instead of going to a kick boxing class because I'm still waking up from my much needed nap. Do you have days where you just have no energy and motivation to do anything? 

I'll definitely be going to the gym tonight though, I need those happy endorphins! Or maybe I should watch "The Biggest Looser" I mean seriously if they can loose 20 pounds a week I certainly can put in effort to loose a little bit here and there.

ere I look and feel like a 90 year old woman going down stairs...well maybe not that severe, but you get the point. I told Ryan he needs to get a gym membership so I have a gym buddy to go with, all of my friends here in salt lake either work out at a different gym or are U students and use their facilities, or are lucky enough to not need to exercise. 

I can't wait till the 80 degree weather comes back so I can run outside! I can't run in the cold I seriously don't know how people do it! I give them major props for not being a wimp. I went to Sugarhouse park to go sledding with some friends in the middle of December, while it's snowing mind you and saw a guy jogging in a t shirt and short shorts! and here I am wearing as many layers as I can and still complaining of the cold. I was so not meant to be born in Utah. I love the snow...only to last from November till January, than I'm ready for heat and to no longer looking ill with out make up on, oh the joys of fair skin. I'm tempted to try the spray tans at my work, anyone had one before? I just don't want to have the orange blotchy look that some people have...  I mean the worst that could happen is I could look like this for a couple of weeks..that wouldn't scare the little kids at the gym I work at or make clients go running the opposite direction when they see me.

Well I better go to the gym while I have an ounce of motivation right now, afterwards I am watching Sydney White, I seriously love that movie it is so funny! I'm a huge fan of Amanda Bynes, she's gorgeous and absolutely hilarious. I remember watching her on the Nickelodeon channel when she had her on show on there. 

weekend update!

so I need Ryan's help to post pictures of us because every time I try to do it, the picture takes up half the page! I pretty much know the basics of computers but luckily Ryan is the brains to anything technical :D

Friday I went to the south towne expo wedding show, no I'm not engaged yet but hey it can't hurt to get ideas right? It was so fun looking around at dresses, colors, food, cakes ect. I'm excited to plan when the time comes, hopefully I wont get too stressed out! Wish I had a ton of money and could hire a wedding planner like I watch on all these wedding shows I see on TLC haha!

After that Ryan and I went to our friends Halley and Johnny's apartment to play HOOPLA! it's a game created by cranium, such a fun game! Thx for inviting us you guys!

Saturday went to work like usual and was busy woo hoo! I love busy work days. Afterwards I went to an alumni dance practice. My High School dance advisor asked some of the alumni to be in the performance and do one dance, we 6 of us have been getting together the past month choreographing and practicing. I tell ya, after 5 years of not dancing...I look pretty sad. Hopefully I can pull off the performance (next week!!) and not look like an obvious alumni wanna be dancer again.

Saturday was also Ryan's and my anniversary! I wasn't feeling very well so he was a sweetheart and took care of me and we watched The devil wears Prada. So we will go out sometime this week to dinner or stay in and make it. I can't believe I have known Ryan for 7 years now and dated him for (technically) 4 years, I dated while he was on his mission so obviously I don't really count those 2 years. I am seriously so lucky to have Ryan in my life, he is my number one fan and is always there to help me in any way he can, weather it's a problem I am having and need advice, to help when I ask him to make sure I eat right and go to the gym regularly. He is one of the kindest people I know, always willing to help others even if it means he has to go out of his way to do or put his own plans to the side. He is such a gentleman, always opening doors for me, holding my hand so I don't trip on the ice, and showers me with compliments. Even after working out and I smell he says that I look beautiful..yeah that glow of sweat is really attractive I tell him. He is going to make a wonderful husband and amazing daddy one day. Love you sweet heart you are amazing thank you for being in my life and choosing me :D
